Square One

Ah, the open road. Due to a late night of last minute details, we left Friday morning a little later than anticipated. We started driving west and eventually south. The weather was beautiful, the sky big and blue punctuated by dense white clouds, not one of them hinting of rain. We sipped our Starbucks coffee and settled into our new life on the road: reading Travels with Charley (Steinbeck), selecting music that fit the mood, and engaging in deep conversation. Technical endeavors included learning to operate the GPS (fondly named Gladys), and setting up voice mail on the cell phone. Onward to Franklin, Tennessee!

One more thing.
In the picture of the rear of Lil' white Rocinante with the bikes on back, there is a sign in front of a business that say's "Endodontist". What in the name of all things holy is an endodontist????
