O, Brother, where art thou?

Our first destination was to visit Melody's brother, Scott, with his wife, Shelby, their two sons, and their two dogs. We made it to Franklin, Tennessee, and were greeted with warm hugs and a delicious dinner. Good conversation and laughter continued into the evening, and we held audience for the kids' bedtime story, prayers and song. After a good night's sleep, we awoke for a healthy breakfast, robust coffee, and talks that lingered long after eating was done. Dan also made time to change the oil in The Egg. For lunch, we all headed to Downtown Historic Franklin, where quaint shops and good food is plentiful. Satisfied, we left the deli in search of stickers, which we plan to plaster all over the egg throughout this journey. The boys each picked one and put it on the car. Then, despite the sadness of goodbye, we came full circle to part with hugs and kisses and the hope of more adventures to share.

Joe and I are loving the blog! We got your call last night but it was way too late to call back. Joe says not to eat any of the mushrooms from the Mello Mushroom Bus or you might not make it to Colorado to meet up with us!!
